LOCATION... LOCATION... LOCATION

GROVER BEACH appears to be a quaint seaside community. However, upon looking closer, you will see a local community that is part of a larger vibrant economic region. Ideally located in the heart of California's beautiful Central Coast, Grover Beach boarders the cities of Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, and the unincorporated town of Oceano in what is know to locals as "The Five Cities Region." Nearby San Luis Obispo or "SLO," which is also home to Cal Poly University and other major employers in the County, is about a 15 minute drive.

Although there are over 13,000 people residing in Grover Beach, the local economy really draws on the collective market area of the Five Cities region with a population well over 50,000 within a five mile radius.

OCEANO DUNES

Grover Beach is most well known as the gateway to the Oceano Dunes Vehicular Recreation Area or perhaps better know as The Dunes, which is the last remaining place on the California coast where vehicles, camping and ATVs are allowed on the beach. Annual visitors to the Oceano Dunes exceed 15,000. Visitors come from far and wide but most are from the Central Valley seeking a respite of fun and play by the beach.

THE FIVE CITIES REGION

The Five Cities region is midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, and just over an hour up the coast from Santa Barbara. Rolling hills with mint-green grasses are dotted with California Oak trees, rock outcrops, and are host to stately horse and cattle ranches with lush green pastures. The Central Coast is a textbook example of Classic California, with an interesting and diverse makeup of communities throughout the region.

Within a short drive, one can visit numerous fun and exciting destinations including world famous wine tasting, challenging golf courses, hiking with exhilarating views of the Pacific coastline, cycling and just about any ocean sport you can think of just to name a few.
